MENSAJE DE SOLIDARIDAD CON EL PUEBLO PALESTINO Y SUS MUJERES

Queridas hermanas,

Las mujeres cubanas alzamos nuestras voces y nos unimos a las fuerzas progresistas de todo el mundo para condenar las violentas acciones del gobierno sionista de Israel contra el pueblo de Palestina, cuyas principales víctimas son mujeres, niños y ancianos.

Una vez más, el pueblo palestino sufre la violación del derecho internacional de soberanía y libre autodeterminación, de las normas del derecho humanitario, incluida la protección de civiles en tiempo de guerra, que figura en la Convención de Ginebra, adoptada el 12 de agosto de 1949.

Ante la impunidad de las operaciones militares sionistas en la Franja de Gaza, y la ausencia de una respuesta contundente por parte del Consejo de Seguridad de Naciones Unidas, es nuestro deber moral unirnos al llamado de la Comunidad Internacional en reclamo al cese inmediato de esta agresión, a la exigencia de poner fin a esta crisis, apoyar y promover el proceso de paz y el respeto a la ley internacional y los derechos legítimos del pueblo palestino.
Ratificamos nuestro compromiso de no a la guerra, sí a la paz, con justicia y libertad.

FEDERATION OF CUBAN WOMEN

Solidarity Message with the Palestinian people and its women.

Dear sisters,

We, Cuban women rise our voices and joint all progressive forces of the world to condemn the violent actions of the Zionist government of Israel against the Palestinian people, whose main victims are women, children and elderly people.

Once again, the Palestinian people suffers the violation of its international right to sovereignty and self-determination, of the norms of the humanitarian law, including the civilians protection in war time that figures in the Geneva Convention, adopted August 12th, 1949.

Facing the impunity of the military Zionist operations in the Gaza Strip, and the absence of an overwhelming answer from the Security Council of the United Nations; it is our moral duty to unite ourselves to the call of the International Community in demanding the inmediate ceasing of this aggression, and to put an end to this crisis, to support and to promote the peace process and the respect to the international law and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

We ratify our commitment to struggle together with all women of the world against war, in favor of peace, justice and freedom.
